CAPITULO CXCVI. BENZEMA, LUCES Y SOMBRAS

Benzema se va del Madrid. Es algo que de forma habitual ocurre en todos los clubes. Grandes ídolos que tarde o temprano dejan el club.

El 9 de julio de 2009, supuso el inicio de una etapa galáctica que llegó a su fin el 4 de junio de 2023.

Aquel verano, otros nombres de gran calado llegaron al MADRID. Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaká, Xabi Alonso o Arbeloa, entre otros, acompañaban al ‘niño de Lyon’ en la que pretendía ser otra hornada de galácticos firmada por Florentino Pérez.

Han sido 14 años, y no todo ha sido éxito. Ha habido luces y sombras. Empezó su andadura en el MADRID con más dudas que otra cosa. Hemos de recordar que durante muchas temporadas no acababa de ser titular, y disputaba el puesto con HIGUAIN.

Muchos momentos se pueden destacar, y cada uno tendrá algo en el recuerdo. Grandes goles, muchos tripletes, y la temporada pasada inolvidable con el Balón de Oro. Yo particularmente me quedo con aquel 31 de marzo de 2012,  ante Osasuna, emulando al histórico delantero Marco Van Basten

En todo caso, tras su paso, quedan los números. Segundo máximo goleador histórico y extranjero con más partidos disputados, con 5 Copas de Europa. Si bien no debemos olvidar que estos números no son del todo reales, por cuanto que hace 50 años se jugaban muchos menos partidos, y además solo la Copa de Europa la jugaba el Campeón de Liga, mientras que ahora todos los años la juegas, con lo que aumentan las opciones.

Se va un gran jugador, pero igual que se fueron otros muchos y el MADRID ha seguido ganando Copas de Europa.
