CAPITULO XXXVII. AQUEL ZARAGOZA-REAL MADRID

Con motivo del enfrentamiento de anoche entre el Zaragoza y el Real Madrid, vamos a recordar uno de los duelos más llamativos entre estos dos equipos en Liga. Ha de decirse que estos dos equipos se han enfrentado en innumerables ocasiones tanto en Liga como en Copa, con resultados diversos, aunque siempre con un balance positivo a favor del REAL MADRID.

Hoy vamos a recordar un partido de Liga, correspondiente a la temporada 87-88, en pleno apogeo de la QUINTA DEL BUITRE. Veníamos de ganar la Liga los dos años anteriores, y se afrontaba una  nueva temporada llena de ilusión y optimismo.

En esa situación un 12 de Septiembre de 1987, se jugaba en Zaragoza la tercera jornada de Liga. Para hacernos una idea de la supremacía de nuestro equipo en la Liga en aquellos años, decir que en esa temporada, arrancamos ganando a domicilio en CADIZ por 0 a 4, y derrotando en el Santiago Bernabeu al SPORTING DE GIJON por un contundente 7 a 0. Así que la tercera jornada había cierta expectación por ver si el fulgurante y arrollador comienzo de nuestro equipo, tendría continuidad….

Y vaya si la tuvo. Ese 12 de Septiembre el Madrid saltaba al césped con una alineación que ahora desde luego nos deja una nostalgia inolvidable. Buyo; Chendo, Tendillo, Sanchís, Solana; Míchel, Gallego, Martín Vázquez, Gordillo (Jankovic, min. 73); Butragueño, Hugo Sánchez (Santillana, min. 75), Era el entrenador, el inolvidable Leo Beenhakker, y ese día el Madrid lograría la mayor goleada de la historia de la Liga, consiguiendo un record vigente durante nada mas y menos que 27 años.

Gordillo, Lumbreras en propia puerta, Butragueño, Michel en dos ocasiones, Chendo y Jankovic certificaron una victoria aplastante,, en una temporada que acabaría con un nuevo título liguero.

Eran otros tiempos, otros jugadores, pero en todo caso, anoche vivimos un partido imponente de nuestro equipo, y esperemos que esta temporada culmine con los éxitos de antaño.
