XCVIII. MEDIAS NEGRAS

Estaremos todos de acuerdo en que anoche el REAL MADRID fue un equipo irreconocible. Yo esperaba más. Creo que debimos hacer algo más.

En todo caso, tiempo habrá para analizar más detenidamente la derrota y la temporada completa.

Hoy, aprovechando que una de las rarezas que vimos en el campo fue las medias negras, me gustaría hacer referencia a esas temporadas en que hemos sido poco reconocibles en cuanto a la equipación.

Ye en los Estatutos de fundación del REAL MADRID en 1902 se decía lo siguiente:

«El uniforme reglamentario será para los partidos ordinarios pantalón azul oscuro, corto y recto, blusa blanca y medias oscuras, y para los partidos extraordinarios será: pantalón y blusa blancos, medias negras con vueltas y cinturón con los colores nacionales, completando este uniforme un casquete azul oscuro”.

Es en 1911 cuando se cambió el color negro de las medias por un azul oscuro, aunque desde la temporada de 1931-32 se volvió a las medias negras. Hubo un cambio temporal de uniforme a imitación del CORINTHIANS brasileño, en la temporada 1925-26, consistente en camisa blanca de una tonalidad cruda, y shorts y medias negras. Ello duro muy poco tiempo, volviendo al tradicional uniforme blanco pero con medias negras.

Finalmente en el año 1955, las medias también pasaron a ser blancas, con lo que el uniforme era blanco por completo, y ahí llegaron los mayores logros y éxitos del club.

Cuando ADIDAS pasa a ser proveedor oficial, las tres bandas de la firma alemana aparecieron por primera vez en las camisetas en un color morado. Luego vendría la llegada de la publicidad, y poco a poco se fue perdiendo el blanco inmaculado.

Así que anoche no fue la primera vez que el REAL MADRID utilizó las medias negras, siendo que hasta el año 1955 era habitual en el uniforme el uso de medias negras.
