Poder disfrutar de los recuerdos de la vida es vivir dos veces. Marcial

 

Continuando con el recordatorio por los mejores trofeos veraniegos, donde el Madrid ha dejado su impronta, hoy vamos a detenernos en otro gran Trofeo como es el TERESA HERRERA, jugado en LA CORUÑA,  y asociado el DEPORTIVO DE LA CORUÑA.

La historia de este Trofeo se remonta a 1946, siendo que la primera participación del Madrid data de 1949. En total han sido 34 partidos, con un saldo de 9 Títulos.

La última de las participaciones blancas se remonta al año 2013, pues como bien es sabido por todos, tanto al Madrid como los grandes clubes tanto naciones como internacionales, en los últimos años se han decantado por las giras asiáticas y americanas.

En su primera participación el Madrid se impuso por 2 a 1 al Racing de Paris, destacando den entre todas esas participaciones, que 4 años más tarde el Madrid conquistó el trofeo, al imponerse por 8 a 1 al Toulouse. Este título conseguido en el año 1953, todavía sigue constituyendo un record del torneo, por cuanto que es la mayor goleada conocida en el mismo.

De entre todas las participaciones, podemos destacar la edición de 1966, donde el Madrid se presentaba con AMANCIO, siendo la primera visita del magnífico jugador como madridista. Fue protagonista desgraciado, por cuanto que tras una fea acción de CAMPANAL (entonces en el DEPORTIVO, y con quien el Madrid ya tuvo otro incidente en el Ramón de Carranza años atrás, como relatábamos en el anterior capítulo), motivó un gran enfado de Amancio al comprobar de que el deportivista no era expulsado, por lo que según las crónicas, intentó irse del terreno de juego, lo que provocó el enfado del publico coruñés. Tal fue el enfado en el resto del partido, que al final del mismo, que terminó con victoria madridista, ni siquiera el Madrid pudo dar la vuelta de honor, dada la gran crispación que había en la grada.

Hubo en las décadas siguientes varias participaciones del equipo merengue con resultados diversos, y la última vez que el Madrid ha disputado el prestigioso trofeo fue en 2013. Destaco esa edición no solo por ser la última, sino por el hecho de que siendo una época difícil para el Deportivo, el Madrid se ofreció a jugar, gestionando únicamente los derechos televisivos. Acabaría imponiéndose el Madrid por 4 a 0, pero es interesante destacar que, pese a las muchas participaciones de nuestro equipo, lo cierto es que en las últimas participaciones, la relación Real Madrid-público no era ni mucho menos cordial.

En cualquier caso, una vez más, la impronta del Madrid ha quedado en este Trofeo, habiendo tenido momentos memorables, como la final ante el Flamengo en el año 1978, donde derrotó a los brasileños por 2 a 0, manifestando las crónicas de la época, la brillante victoria madridista, y las ovaciones durante el partido que la afición brindó al equipo madridista por su gran juego.

Eran otros tiempos, pero en cualquier caso, siempre el MADRID dejando su sello.
