En la adversidad conviene muchas veces tomar un camino atrevido. Séneca

Cerrado el mercado de fichajes, resulta obvio que entre los madridistas hay cierta desilusión, por cuanto que se esperaba este verano, tras la debacle de la pasada temporada, que algo cambiase, y sin embargo, han sido escasas las novedades. Casi todos los madridistas anhelan un gran cambio en la plantilla, con objeto de aspirar a los títulos, pero la realidad, es que la plantilla sigue siendo prácticamente la misma.

Desde luego, tras una época dorada como la que hemos vivido, fundamentalmente en Europa con cuatro Copas de Europa en cinco años, no resulta fácil hacer una revolución.

Y en este momento de cierta desilusión, y recordando viejos épocas, creo adecuado traer aquí a colación un momento histórico que puede recordar a lo que ahora estamos viviendo.

Tras el glorioso equipo de la década de los 50, con DI STEFANO  a la cabeza, ocurrió que el equipo se fue envejeciendo, y así, en el año 1964, D. ALFREDO dejó el club, quedando algunos jugadores que también estaban ya en el final de sus carreras como PUSKAS y SANTAMARIA (el primero con 38 años).

Pues bien,  en el año 1959 llegó al club como entrenador MIGUEL MUÑOZ, y fue el encargado de iniciar la renovación de una plantilla maravillosa pero ya muy veterana, de la que el mismo había formado parte como capitán, de forma que se confeccionó un equipo casi íntegramente con jugadores españoles y bastantes jóvenes, quedando tan tolo GENTO, como baluarte del viejo equipo.

En ese momento, también parecía que todo iba a ser un desastre, por cuanto que era imposible reemplazar a los grandiosos jugadores que habían marcado toda una época en el club, pero lo cierto es que ese nuevo equipo de jóvenes, llegó a marcar también un ciclo, como los títulos ligueros conseguidos en esos años, y la Copa de Europa conseguida en el año 1966 frente al Partizán de Belgrado.

Ni mucho menos digo que esta vez también ocurrirá  lo mismo, pues lo cierto es que aquella plantilla se confeccionó con jugadores que a la larga fueron estandartes del club, pero que en sus inicios, todavía no se sabía el resultado que darían. Como muestra, podemos hacer referencia al equipo titular en la Final de la 6ª Copa de Europa ante el Partizán, siendo la alineación: Araquistáin, Pachín, De Felipe, Zoco, Sanchís, Pirri, Velázquez, Serena, Amancio, Grosso y Gento. Ahí es nada!!!

Desde luego viendo la alineación, todos nos imaginamos el gran equipo que se tenía entonces, pero en los primeros momentos de este equipo, cuando hubieron de sustituir a las grandes leyendas como DI STEFANO, PUSKAS, SANTAMARIA, KOPA etc, nadie pensaría eso. Fue labor de MIGUEL MUÑOZ, quien fue sustituyendo poco a poco a las grandes leyendas por jugadores de calidad indiscutible, pues por ejemplo AMANCIO llegó a coincidir con DI STEFANO, y PIRRI llegó justo cuando se marchaba del club DI STEFANO. Poco a poco fueron llegando los demás, siendo el último baluarte VELAZQUEZ.

No siempre se repite la historia, pero precisamente la Historia nos demuestra que el fútbol es una cuestión de ciclos, y que en definitiva, hay que ir renovando poco a poco a las plantillas, por cuanto que las grandes figuras,  mal que nos pese, no son eternas.

En la época de los YE-YES, y tras el equipazo previo que el Madrid había tenido, pocos darían un duro por los éxitos que habrían de llegar de la mano de esos jóvenes jugadores, pero desde luego, la enseñanza, es que no hay que tener miedo a colocar a grandes jugadores en el equipo, si la calidad de los mismos es la adecuada para jugar en el Madrid.

No tengamos miedo al cambio que necesariamente ha de llegar, pero hagamos los cambios de forma adecuada. Igual así tendremos otro equipo YE-YE.
