XCIII. REVOLUCION O RENOVACION

Nos jugamos hoy prácticamente todas las opciones en la EUROLIGA. Y aún ganando, lo cierto es que no tendremos asegurados estar entre los 8 primeros. Y en caso de estar, pinta que no llegamos a la FINAL FOUR. Ojalá me equivoque…..

En esta temporada que parece de transición, lo cierto es que nos hemos dado cuenta de que tenemos ya un equipo envejecido, y que hace falta renovar. Y surge la cuestión de si revolución, o simple renovación con las nuevas promesas que tenemos. Lo cierto es que ya habido otras épocas donde parecía todo perdido, y el equipo salió adelante.

La primera de esas situaciones se produjo con la segunda etapa de PEDRO FERRANDIZ en el banquillo a partir del al año 1967, tras una época que fue prodigiosa, y que como toda buena época finalizó. Pero se hizo una simple renovación de la plantilla, con cabeza, se incorporó a quien sería uno de los grandes, WAINE BRABENDER (13 Ligas, 7 copas de Europa y 4 copas de Europa) , a CRISTOBAL RODRIGUEZ, quien aunque muchos no lo recuerden estuvo 13 temporadas en el Madrid consiguiendo 11 Ligas, 8 Copas y 4 copas de Europa, VICENTE RAMOS, CARMELO CABERERA, RAFAEL RULLAN, y en el año 71, se incorpora todo un mito, CORBALAN. Con esas incorporaciones, el MADRID volvió a ser intratable en aquella época.

La segunda etapa, se produjo hace bien poco, y todos la recordamos. Tras la Copa de Europa de 1995 con SABONIS, vino el abismo, y pese a tener muy buenos entrenadores como Bozidar Maljkovic, Ettore Messina o Sergio Scariolo, lo cierto es que los resultados fueron muy malos, pues desde 1995 hasta 2011, el Madrid ganó tres ligas, una Recopa y una Copa ULEB, triunfo aquel que fue muy celebrado, pero que hemos de recordar vino motivado porque no conseguimos entrar en Copa de Europa. Parecía que la sección podía desaparecer, los rumores eran incesantes, pero entonces, se volvió a hacer una renovación, llegó PBLO LASO, y todos ya sabemos los éxitos hasta ahora.

Como vemos, el MADRID ha pasado por diversas rachas pero siempre hemos conseguidos renovarnos, así que yo creo que mas que una revolución, lo que hace falta es una renovación, porque los mimbres ya están puestos. No nos volvamos locos.

Y los éxitos volverán seguro.
