Tras este maratón de intensos partidos, el resultado es que estamos vivos en la Liga, y a solo tres partidos de ganar otra Copa de Europa

Por eso, me gustaría referirme hoy a esa situación que en muchos momentos hemos vivido, donde ha sido el equipo, la plantilla, y no solo los jugadores estrellas, los que han sacado adelante la situación.

Ya en el capitulo pasado me referí a la Final que jugamos contra el Liverpool en el año 1981 con el Madrid de los GARCIA, un equipo sin grandes estrellas, pero donde el conjunto supo luchar hasta llegar a la final. Era un bloque más que un grupo de estrellas

Pero es que no hay solo un ejemplo. El Madrid que ganó la 6ª. Copa de Europa en 1966 estaba formado por Araquistain, Pachín, De Felipe, Zoco, Sanchís, Pirri, Velázquez, Serena, Amancio, Grosso y Gento. Por supuesto un gran equipo, pero entonces un equipo en formación que tenía que suplir a los grandes DI STEFANO, PUSKAS y demás, y que con fuerza y empeño consiguieron levantar la orejona.

Pero es que después de esa generación y tras la retirada de Amancio y el gran Gento, llegan Santillana, Stielike y Juanito. Si nos damos cuenta, son todos jugadores cortados por un mismo patrón: jugadores con pundonor, con orgullo, con raza. Y eso es lo que ha hecho grande al Madrid. El día que perdamos el orgullo de vestir esa camiseta y representar ese escudo, entonces no será el Madrid. Por eso, en esta temporada donde el juego no es el mejor, es un honor ver a estos jugadores, como por muchas lesiones que tengan y por muchos inconvenientes que hayan surgido, siguen ahí.

Eso es el Madrid!!
